About Us

Reward.ie was founded by Lisa Cullen         and Paul McCarthy, and went live in September 2009.  The idea came to us after we lost a mobile phone at a Bruce Springsteen concert, and we would have happily offered a reward to have it returned.  Someone (no doubt) did find it, but he/she had no good way of getting in touch with us.

We wanted to create a simple-to-use website, with associated 'Reward Posters', for people who want to offer a reward, to help them find their lost or stolen pets and items. Rewards can also be offered for particular information. Perhaps, in time, it will assist to solve some crimes as well.

We saw that there were so many newspapers, magazines, tv and radio programmes, and websites in Ireland that listed ads with rewards.  We wanted to create a dedicated website, where all these rewards could be in one place.

Ads on Reward.ie can compliment Ads on other sites i.e. you can refer to your Reward.ie Ad on any other site. It's the associated Poster and Ad that makes this service unique.

The ads are easy to create, can include one or more pictures, and have a very good search and browse capability. We wanted everyone to be able to use this service, therefore all ads are FREE. A key feature is that a user can print their own reward posters (for FREE) to assist their search.

We will be continually promoting and advertising Reward.ie on other websites and in the media, in order to increase the awareness of the website, and increase the viewing audience of the ads.   For example, we were recently profiled in the Sunday Tribune T2 magazine:

New features at Reward.ie will be determined by you, the users. All comments and suggestions welcome.

Success for us is hearing from people who have used our service, and have found what they are looking for.  We are excited about the future of this web service, and how it might be used and evolve in the future.

Thank you.
The Reward.ie Team.
